George V 22 Carat Gold Sovereign Collection

Includes ‘Large’ and ‘Small’ Head Sovereigns

  • Limited edition presentation just 295
  • Last ever Gold Sovereign issued for circulation
  • Issued between 1911 and 1932

Features both Sovereigns issued during George V’s reign. The first portrait, struck between 1911 and 1928 inclusive, featured a larger portrait of the king. However, due to production problems at The Royal Mint where both coins were struck, a revised effigy was issued between 1929 and 1932 featuring a smaller portrait of the king. More significantly, this was the last ever Sovereign to enter circulation. The unique story surrounding the George V Sovereign Pair ensures it remains highly sought-after by collectors around the world.

N.B Limited edition presentation relates only to the coins as presented in our packaging. Coins shown for illustrative purposes only. Year dates will vary.
