Officially approved by Buckingham Palace and fully endorsed by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this NEW limited edition collection consists of three £5 coins, each accented in either Pure Silver or 24-Carat Gold and struck to a high Proof-like finish to provide funds and raise awareness of the charity. Since 1824, the RNLI has saved over 143,100 lives, often in the most perilous and treacherous seas around the United Kingdom and Ireland. The reverses feature a superb depiction of the Alderney Trent class all-weather lifeboat Roy Barker I powering through stormy seas on another lifesaving mission while on one of the silver-plated £5 coins is the charity’s logo enhanced in colour. Also appearing on all three is a superb cameo portrait of the Queen whose seven decades as RNLI patron coincides with seventy years on the throne. Limited to only 2,022 collections and now available to own from The Jubilee Mint, an official distributor.
