To honour the countless heroes who sacrificed their lives in conflict, an official NEW Gold Proof Sovereign will be struck on Remembrance Day, 11th November 2024. Expertly crafted in Solid 22-Carat Gold to an immaculate Proof finish and formally approved for release by Buckingham Palace, this NEW limited edition Sovereign features a ONE-YEAR-ONLY design by talented artist Sandra Deiana. The reverse showcases Deiana’s beautiful illustration of blooming poppies, which became a poignant symbol of hope after they grew in the battlefields of WWI, surrounding the fitting words, ‘Lest We Forget’, originally from Rudyard Kipling’s poem, ‘Recessional.’ Created by leading engraver Jody Clark, on the obverse is an official effigy of Charles III, who traditionally lays the first wreath at the national Remembrance Service. As 2024 also marks the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, many will be looking to pay tribute to the fallen, but with just 199 of this NEW ‘struck on the day’ coin available worldwide, pre-ordering is essential.
