Struck in Five Full Ounces of 999/1000 Fine Silver to a pristine Proof finish, this poignant coin has been officially approved by Buckingham Palace and issued in strictly limited numbers. Featured is a never-seen-before design depicting a soldier paying his respects to fallen comrades at a battlefield cross, surrounded by poppies, which have been accented with vibrant colour. The soldier wears a British World War I Infantry uniform, including an iconic Brodie helmet, puttees around his lower legs and holds a rifle at his side. Also inscribed is ‘LEST WE FORGET’, a famous phrase deeply intertwined with Remembrance Day, from Rudyard Kipling’s 1897 poem, ‘Recessional’. Meanwhile, on the obverse is an official portrait of King Charles III by renowned engraver Jody Clark. Just 100 are available worldwide, and considering previous Remembrance Day issue sell-outs, demand is expected to be extremely high. Comes housed in a luxury Presentation Case with Certificate of Authenticity, confirming its strict mintage.
