The NEW 60th Anniversary of England’s 1966 Victory Fine Silver Proof 5oz Coin
Expertly struck in Five Full Ounces of 999/1000 Fine Silver
A NEW silver 5oz coin has been issued to mark 60 years since England’s first and only win in 1966 in the world's biggest tournament, an event watched by millions. This limited edition coin boasts an impressive 65.00mm diameter and has been struck in Five Full Ounces of 999/1000 Fine Silver to the highest Proof finish, following its official approval at Buckingham Palace. On this NEW silver release is leading heraldic artist Timothy Noad’s specially commissioned design. The reverse features a lion wearing a magnificent crown while supporting the shield, expertly highlighted in red and white, of the country’s patron saint, Saint George. A Latin inscription reading ‘ANGLIA VICTORES’ is also etched around the edge of the coin, translating to ‘ENGLAND VICTORIOUS’. Meanwhile, an official portrait of King Charles III, by renowned engraver Jody Clark is included on the obverse. This superb silver coin is expected to be in extremely high demand during this milestone anniversary year and has a low worldwide mintage of only 100 coins. A swift response is therefore strongly recommended as availability at The Jubilee Mint is strictly limited. Securely housed in a luxury Presentation Case with a Certificate of Authenticity.
