Struck in Solid 22-Carat Gold to the highest Proof finish, this NEW coin has been officially approved by Buckingham Palace and expertly crafted on Thursday, 8th May 2025 - the exact anniversary of VE Day. On its reverse is a specially commissioned design by renowned artist and sculptor, Sandra Deiana, depicting the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral, where thousands gathered to give thanks following Winston Churchill’s long-awaited announcement. This is framed in the shape of a ‘V' for Victory, with a laurel wreath symbolising triumph for Britain and her Allies. On the obverse is an official effigy of King Charles III by another celebrated engraver, Jody Clark, known for creating the final definitive portrait of Elizabeth II, whose parents reigned during the Second World War. Due to the rarity of struck-on-the-day issues, and the extremely low mintage of JUST 50, a prompt response is essential to avoid disappointment.
