Expertly struck in 999.9/1000 Fine Gold to the most pristine Proof finish, this superb NEW release features a modern version of the engraver's masterpiece, which he originally created in honour of the beginning of Queen Victoria’s reign. Represented as both powerful and honourable, the monarch is shown guiding a lion at her side, symbolising the British Empire. The design is further complemented by a Latin phrase which reads, ‘MAY GOD DIRECT MY STEPS’ while on the obverse is an official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III.
