Following its approval at Buckingham Palace, an official NEW Laurel collection has been released, featuring three coins expertly struck in Sterling Silver to a pristine Proof finish. Released to mark the 400th anniversary of the last ever Laurel of 1625, this limited edition issue features a unique portrait of King Charles III by renowned engraver Jody Clark. His Majesty appears facing right, the opposite way compared to all other coins of his reign, and also wears a laurel wreath just as James I did on the 17th century original. Further enhancing the obverses is the addition of a sought-after ONE-YEAR-ONLY crown privy mark. Meanwhile, the reverses includes a crown above a Quartered Shield, again mirroring the historic design. Demand for this NEW release is expected to be high, but The Jubilee Mint can only offer a small allocation of the strict 499-set mintage so reservations should be made swiftly.
