On the 6th May 1965, the Red Arrows made their debut aerobatic display at RAF Little Rissington, captivating spectators with their incredible flying. To mark the milestone 60th anniversary of their very first performance, The Royal Mint has released the UK’s NEW Red Arrows Silver Proof 50p Coin as a fitting tribute to the Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team. Expertly struck in 925/1000 Sterling Silver and finished to the finest Proof standard, this official coin features a never-before-seen reverse by leading agency Tuch Design. Beautifully accentuated in vibrant selective colour, the UK issue showcases three red jets gliding through the sky, leaving behind a trail of red, white, and blue smoke. The obverse meanwhile features the UK’s first official effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by renowned sculptor Martin Jennings.
