Appearing for the first time since 2021 is Italian engraver Benedetto Pistrucci’s iconic depiction of St George, England’s patron saint, slaying the dragon, a design which has appeared on more Sovereigns than any other since 1817. On its obverse meanwhile, is the FIRST EVER crowned portrait of the King, who inherited the throne at the age of 73, by leading sculptor, Martin Jennings. This magnificent left-facing effigy depicts His Majesty wearing the Tudor Crown and was personally approved by the monarch himself.
