  • Features official King George V portrait

The UK’s FIRST EVER commemorative crown was released by The Royal Mint in 1935 to mark King George V’s Silver Jubilee. Struck in Solid Silver, it features an Art Deco depiction of the Patron Saint of England on horseback holding a long sword – a portrayal which has famously earned this silver coin the nickname the ‘Rocking Horse’ Crown. The obverse includes the UK’s official portrait of George V, the Queen’s grandfather. As this year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Royal House of Windsor, founded by the king in 1917, this original 1935 silver crown is in particularly high demand. JUST 499 are available from The Jubilee Mint, each displayed in a luxury Presentation Case with a Certificate of Authenticity.

NB. Limited edition presentation relates only to the coin as presented in our packaging.
