An Original Silver Shilling Dating Back To The Time Of The English Civil Wars

  • Struck in 925/1000 Sterling Silver
  • Original Charles I Shilling

It’s believed that this original 17th century silver shilling would have been buried by a Roundhead or Cavalier soldier before going into battle and until recently, has laid undiscovered for over 350 years.  Individually struck by hand using the early technique of hammering during one of the most turbulent periods in our history, it features a portrait of Charles I, who was executed for high treason in 1649, and a Royal Shield. Luxury Presentation Case and Certificate of Authenticity included. Strictly limited number now available from The Jubilee Mint – early ordering advised.
