To commemorate the milestone 100th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth on the 21st April, an official NEW gold coin has been released exclusively by The Jubilee Mint. Following its approval at Buckingham Palace, this limited edition tribute has been meticulously struck in Solid 9-Carat Gold to the finest Proof finish. The NEW gold coin includes a magnificent design by celebrated artist Sandra Deiana, who has taken inspiration from renowned photographer Dorothy Wilding’s most prominent portrait of Her Majesty, taken in 1952 to mark the beginning of her reign. Our late sovereign is depicted wearing the beautiful Diamond Diadem Tiara, and appears within a wreath motif. On the obverse meanwhile, is an official effigy of King Charles III by engraver Jody Clark, who also designed the UK’s fifth and final definitive coinage portrait of Elizabeth II.
