This sought-after collection features two of only four examples of Silver Crowns struck in Sterling Silver by The Royal Mint during the reign of one of our longest-serving monarchs. The ‘Jubilee Head’ Crown features a portrait that was first introduced in 1887 to celebrate Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, marking fifty years since Accession. This was replaced in 1893 by the ‘Old’ or ‘Veiled’ Head portrait which depicted the Queen wearing a veil in mourning for her husband. Benedetto Pistrucci’s famous depiction of St George and the Dragon appears on each reverse. Just 199 complete collections are now available from The Jubilee Mint on a first-come first-served basis.
